SUBR
Faculty Resources Page

This page is developed to support faculty from the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) engaged in redesigning STEM courses and laboratories using Labster’s virtual lab environment based in gamified case studies. Labster and the CSE at SUBR signed a research and development partnership agreement to implement Labster at Sothern University and select K-12 feeder schools. The core mission of the partnership is to transform science courses through the use of next generation virtual laboratory simulations and enhancing academic success through the targeted infusion of interactive multimedia and virtual laboratory into the curriculum. It is the goal for the Southern University System to become a leader in the use of virtual laboratory simulations for STEM education and to build a broader HBCUs community of practice for use of virtual laboratory simulations at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and partnering HEIs (higher education institutions) in Africa. The building of such user community is essential for sharing practices and establishing a research network.

Watch Recorded Sessions from Labster's SO Inspired Conference

In early October, Labster was joined by faculty experts to share best practices for using Labster in the classroom. With sessions ranging from case studies and peer best practices discussions to a presentation on the classroom of the future and a featured plenary session with Sal Khan of Khan Academy, these sessions provide valuable insight into how to teach science courses online successfully.
