Webinar: Can VR Simulations Replace Traditional Labs?

Can VR Simulations Replace Traditional Science Labs?

Last summer, Labster VR was launched, and this academic year, Arizona State University launched three fully online courses in biology, all at the advanced level (upper division courses).

Mike Angilletta is the Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs and the instructor for the Ecology Lab course. He will in this webinar discuss his experience while teaching a 100% online lab course.

In one hour, Mike Angilletta will answer the following questions:

  • What are the benefits of teaching with VR, and what are the limitations?
  • How did the students respond to using VR?
  • Can you use VR to replace large fractions of a lab course?

We’ll also take a closer look at some of the new ecology simulations, giving you insight into what virtual labs are all about.
