Intermolecular bonding

Intermolecular bonds are the interaction forces between molecules rather than within the molecule itself. Some common intermolecular forces are hydrogen bonds and Van der Waals forces. For example, intermolecular forces are responsible for the helical structure of DNA and the properties of water.
