Introduction to the Male Reproductive System: Dive inside the duct system!

About this Simulation

Take a journey through the male reproductive system! In this simulation, you will be introduced to the gonads, glands, and male reproductive tract in our detailed 3D model in exploration mode before diving inside the male reproductive system. Piece together a puzzle of the testis and epididymis, followed by a journey through the rest of the duct system, picking up specialized fluids from the glands enroute.

Anatomy of the male reproductive system

Get familiar with the anatomy of the male reproductive system by identifying the primary and accessory sex organs in exploration mode. Dive in deeper to learn about the structure of the testis and epididymis from spermatogenesis to ejaculation. Travel through the entire male reproductive system, learning the anatomical locations of the ducts and glands.

Memorize the route from spermatogenesis to ejaculation

Travel directly into the testis! You don’t have a map and will need to identify the route out of the male reproductive system. Learn about each part of the testis and epididymis to complete a jigsaw puzzle map. Wait at the tail of the epididymis before embarking on the ejaculatory journey into the ductus deferens. Find the correct route out of the system, learning about the locations and functions of each of the three secretory glands on the way.

Test your knowledge

Dive back into exploration mode to test your knowledge of the male reproductive system anatomy, by labeling the gonads, epididymis, ducts, and glands. Can you remember the route out of the male reproductive system, from the beginning to the end of a sperm cell’s journey?

Learning Objectives

At the end of this simulation, you will be able to:

  • Distinguish between the primary sex organ and the accessory sex organs

  • Describe the function of the glands of the male reproductive system

  • Identify the anatomical locations of the gonads, glands and duct system

Techniques in Lab

At the end of this simulation, you will be able to:
